Job Description

The Boat House of Lauderdale Lakes, located in Elkhorn, WI, is looking for an energetic, positive team member to assist with the administrative / accounting team.

Weekend and "holiday" work a must. The Boat House does not observe holidays in the season due to the nature of our business.

The ideal candidate will have the following necessary qualities:

  • Attention to detail;
  • Basic accounting skills;
  • Experience with AR / AP
  • Dedication to excellent customer service.

The candidate who I really want to meet will also:

  • Have experience with boating;
  • Have experience with Warranty Registration; and
  • Consistently show a positive attitude and be a genuine team player.

Our team player Administrative Clerk will have the following essential functions:

  • Accurately input all financial data into the dealer management system to include customer payments and company expenditures.
  • Prepare daily deposits as needed.
  • Review all invoices for accuracy and process for payment according to the designated schedule.
  • Coordinate the rental program for the Lauderdale Lakes facility.
  • Distribute signed checks as required.
  • Maintain accounts payable reports.
  • Assist with the input of all new inventory into the dealer management system.
  • Assist with file preparation for title work.
  • Warranty register boat, and/or motor, and/or trailer within 21 days of delivery.
  • Order office supplies needed for the business.
  • Answer the phone and greet customer arriving to the location in person professionally and courteously.
  • Ensure phone calls are redirected according to the customer’s needs.
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties to include typing, filing, making calls on behalf of the organization and documenting all necessary details for management review.
  • Work both independently and within a team environment to assist in propelling the business toward its goals
  • Assist corporate financial team as necessary for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Maintain a proper filing system
  • Attend all assigned meetings, follow all company policies and procedures, and be genuinely pleasant in the workplace toward peers, customers, vendors and any other person who enters the facility.
